On a hope and a prayer (and a shoe string budget), Aleesha Serrita Nedd opened The Naked Lemon in 2016 as a pop-up bakery at select community events in the Astoria area. From there, the biz moved to its own brick and mortar location in 2017 on Commercial Street. After that The Naked Lemon Bakery grew even larger and obtained its own commercial kitchen and coffee bar with seating and multiple display cases to show the beautiful hand made pastry creations such as french macarons, cupcakes, cakes, cookies and more.
We pride ourselves on making everything from scratch and baking fresh daily. We are currently open five days a week (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) and also provide pastries to our neighbors up the street at Astoria Coffee House in Astoria, Oregon and Elixir Coffee Cafe in South Bend, Washington..
Aleesha Nedd is a native Astorian with a passion for baking and all things creative. Her days of baking date back as far as she can remember in milling about the kitchen while her grandmother baked homemade favorites like banana and zucchini bread.
Since 2012, Aleesha has graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Communication Studies, only to find herself in the limitless and creative culinary world of baking and cake design.
